2023 was fairly busy for us with a never-ending series of updates. Our aim has always been to hide these from you as you don’t really need to know the details as you can be safe in the knowledge that we “just take care of it”.
For those clients with a WordPress site would have seen a couple of updates in quick succession. This usually happens when there is a known vulnerability. Our sites are protected by a firewall, but we still need to patch these as they happen. If you are concerned about anything you have heard, feel free to call for a chat.

Talking of calling for a chat, we use a cloud based system for our phone system and it suits us really well. We became a reseller of this system about 6 years ago. Systems worldwide are constantly improved to ensure deliverability of mail. At the end of 2023 both Google and Yahoo changed their sender requirements and will start enforcing stricter compliance. There is plenty for us to do and so we will be writing separately to our users to advise.

Microsoft Exchange Prices
About this time last year I wrote to say that Microsoft has increased prices by 15% and that this increase did not change the Exchange price. Sorry to say. that price has now caught up and the cost of Microsoft Exchange will also rise by 15%
We were not planning any changes to our prices, but this is under review as we have just been hit with an increase of 57% on our underlaying server costs. Ouch! We’ll take a look at this and let you know of any costs
