Introduction
February and March have been quite busy. We have received numerous updates, which have been primarily driven by persistent security vulnerabilities.
Almost every day, a new flaw is discovered in various software components. This may include code utilised in plugins, software such as WordPress, or even at a deeper level within the server infrastructure. Our systems are equipped to notify us of updates, and these notifications are cross-referenced with all websites and services, resulting in a comprehensive list of tasks to be completed. Over the years, we have implemented systems to streamline this process, but the sheer volume of tasks continues to require the same amount of time to execute as in 2005.
Communication Systems
We anticipated a temporary period of inconvenience with our digital communication system. However, a patch has been implemented that has resolved all the issues we initially encountered. We kindly remind all users to log out regularly and, where applicable, update to the latest version.
Newsletter Campaign Software & Services
Newsletter systems are perpetually under threat from legislative changes. While this can be a positive development, it necessitates our unwavering vigilance and adherence to regulations when sending mass emails. Our systems possess some of the most stringent controls in place, safeguarding us from potential misidentification and labelling as spam senders. For us, it is uncommon to engage in mass mail campaigns. Instead, we opt for more traditional methods such as publishing blog posts or posting messages on Bluesky. Microsoft Exchange Prices
For many years, Temerity Media has been a Microsoft Partner, providing our customers with competitive pricing on Microsoft products. However, due to recent price adjustments, we have been unable to maintain this level of profitability.
In October 2024, we communicated our intention to cease offering this service to our Microsoft customers. We have successfully transferred a significant number of customers directly to Microsoft Business. The pricing structure remains unchanged, and you will no longer require our assistance with these products.
We have written to all remaining customers and will follow up with further communication shortly.
File Management via Livedrive
For several years, we have been an authorised reseller of Livedrive. We have consistently provided services to our clients that have been more cost-effective than purchasing directly from Livedrive. However, Livedrive has experienced substantial price increases in recent years, which have necessitated an adjustment in our pricing strategy.
As evident in the attached table, the disparity between our current pricing and Livedrive’s cost is significant. This adjustment has been made to ensure that our clients continue to receive competitive pricing while maintaining our commitment to providing high-quality services.
