Password Management
You will need to safely store your passwords for your CP login, website, emails and other logins. We strongly recommend the use of a Password Management system. For most users these are free. Keep it unique
Using a password manager requires one super strong master passsword. The best master password is a long password. It doesn’t have to be complex. So a simple way to do this is to think of something like your walk to school when you were a child. For me there were a number of memorable elements to my walk. First there was the red letter box where I would often drop in post on the way, then I would cross the road to avoid the big wolfhound. As I got to the high street I would look in for my grandfather who worked at the butchers. Using this, I have selected the following to make up my master password. Post, Cross, Hound, Butcher. That is 21 characters and so my new master password would be postcrossHounDbutcher . To test this out, I go went to https://password.kaspersky.com/ (don’t use your real password here) and this tells me that my password will be hacked in 691 Centuries. Not bad!

Security – General Information
We are proud of our track record on maintaining safe systems. Industry standards are usually at 99.99% availability for web based services, but we exceed this and often maintain web services for the vast majority of our users at 99.999% or even 100% over any given year. The world security picture is constantly changing and the task of maintaining and securing services become much harder. We have always been on hand to offer help and advice on security and we will continue to do so. The cost of maintaining security is increasing due to many factors and we have started to look at offering a tiered approach to our security packages. Where there is a lower need or desire for security we will offer a reduced package, but where there is an increased requirement we will offer a bespoke package. This will give you more choice. A minimum standard has to be applied to all online and cloud based services.
A minimum standard for passwords, email security, web security etc., will be enforced where we can. Should a user ignore these standards and adopt a lower standard, support will not be provided free of charge where the issue is of a security nature. E.g. If an account is hacked and the password is found to be of an unacceptable standard.
